The Retarded Message: Aftermath

On a serious note: last week I utilized the word retarded in my talk quite a bit. I realize it is a controversial term that carries with it many meanings and applications, but specifically the word is derogatory in nature. And because of the nature of what I was talking about, it was by design that I used it. I do want to acknowledge though, that there were people in this congregation that were deeply disturbed or hurt by my choice of wording. And for that I’m sorry.
